With a recent investment of £11 million, this Grade II Listed building purchased by Leeds University, will accommodate over 600 students aged between 14 & 18. Working in partnership with BAM construction we installed a glazing package to the value of £213,000.
The package included primary aluminium windows, curtain walling and automatic doors. The aim of the project was to sympathetically restore 5,200m2 of surplus space, and to create a state of the art learning environment for Leeds University and its students.
As part of the building is protected by a Grade II listed status, Granada Glazing’s secondary glazing units were installed to increase both, the thermal and acoustic performance of the primary windows.
Kevin Longmire Architectural Glazing Manager, said “The key to managing a project of this scale is excellent communication with key stake holders and adhering to timelines. It was great to see this project completed over a 10 Week period. The final ascetics look outstanding where we can guarantee both, thermal and acoustic performance”.
